Did you know that Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy and American Dad, is the highest-paid television writer? After two or three years of negotiations he reached a $100 million deal with Fox to keep Family Guy and American Dad running on Fox until 2012. Didn’t know that? Well, now you do. ![]()

You gotta love US news stations:
I’m watching MSNBC as I write this, and they’re twenty minutes into live helicopter coverage of NY Governor Eliot Spitzer’s SUV driving across Manhattan so he can theoretically resign. Forget all the other issues involved… my question is, do these news folks really think there’s a chance Spitzer’s gonna run?
Is it just me or is following a governor in a helicopter for twenty minutes totally insane? Wake up, America!

Listen to our lord, the one and only, Bruce Campbell:
If you have it, you don’t need it. If you need it, you don’t have it. If you have it, you need more of it. If you have more of it, you don’t need less of it. You need it to get, and you certainly need it to get more of it. But if you don’t already have any of it to begin with, you can’t get any of it to get started, which means you really have no idea how to get it in the first place, do you? You can share it, sure, you can even stockpile it if you’d like, but you can’t fake it. Wanting it, needing it, wishing for it. The point is, if you’ve never had any of it, ever, people just seem to know.
Writers are still striking in Hollywood and at Broadway, leaving actors, movie makers and TV presenters speechless:
Donald Trump left a $10,000 tip for a waiter at the Buffalo Club in Santa Monica on December 03, 2007.

NBC today offered a new option for people who want to watch TV shows online: free downloads with commercials. Many users still prefer downloading to streaming, because the quality is better and you can watch the video whenever you want.
The new service, which will launch in October, is called “NBC Direct”. After downloading a video you can watch it for seven days. The video will degrade after this seven-day period, “Kind of like ‘Mission: Impossible,’ only I don’t think there would be any explosion and smoke.“
