Kim Jong-il reigns over more than 20 million people living in North Korea, isolating the state against globalization and anything that could bring his regime down. North Korea’s official name being Democratic People’s Republic of Korea could be Kim Jong-il’s favorite joke, but it doesn’t make lots of people laugh.
