Best Buy has lost a customer’s laptop when she took it to Best Buy for repair, so the owner is now suing the retail store company for the small amount of $54 million! That’s $54M for one laptop… OK, you have to take into account that some of her data were on the HD, too. But let’s do the math: The customer (her name is Raelyn Campbell, by the way), bought the laptop for the tiny sum of $1,100. Maybe she is a new breed of genius investors who set off to make 5,000,000% return on investments, I don’t know… Anyway, if Best Buy settles for any amount higher than $10,000 (value of the laptop plus damages for the lost data) I will lose all respect for that company. And I will sue Best Buy for $100 million due to psychological damages I suffered from reading and writing about this stuff… So better don’t lose this lawsuit, Best Buy. Better don’t lose!
