Yes, you got that right. The Vatican launched the world’s first airline for Catholic pilgrims on Monday. It aims to serve 150,000 pilgrims per year on a chartered Boeing 737. The new charter airline’s slogan is: “I’m Searching for Your Face, Lord.” Passengers will be able to read religious messages or watch religious movies during the flight. The Vatican also said keeping costs for pilgrims as low as possible was among its highest priorities. Competing discount carrier Ryanair said in a statement: “Ryanair already performs miracles that even the Pope’s boss can’t rival, by delivering pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela for the heavenly price of 10 euros.”
